Privacy Policy

Privacy-First by Design

Measurably uses local scoring as its default measurement path. New persisted measurement events exclude raw prompt text. If you explicitly save a prompt as a template or version, that content is stored for that feature. User-invoked comparison tools may process prompt text transiently on our server without persisting it. If you explicitly request an AI-powered rewrite or deeper analysis, the prompt is transmitted to our service and xAI for that request, as described below.

What We Collect

  • Account information: Email address and display name provided during registration.
  • Aggregated scores: Your AI Effectiveness Score (AES) and six dimension scores (specificity, context engineering, task decomposition, iteration quality, token efficiency, output specification).
  • Session metadata: Which AI tool was used (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.), token counts, timestamps, and session durations.
  • Preferences: Notification settings, selected AI tools, and goal configurations.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • Raw prompt text in new measurement analytics or automatic history
  • Browsing history outside of supported AI tools
  • Personal files, documents, or screenshots
  • Data from non-supported websites

Legacy Records

Earlier product versions could store raw prompt text in interaction history. We have stopped new measurement events from doing so and are preparing a controlled database migration for remaining legacy records. You may request account deletion at any time using the contact below.

How We Use Your Data

  • Display your personal effectiveness dashboard and track progress
  • Generate coaching tips and personalized improvement suggestions
  • Send optional weekly digest emails (you can disable these in Settings)
  • Compute aggregate community benchmarks when minimum group thresholds are met

Optional AI Features

When you explicitly invoke an AI rewrite or other model-powered analysis, the prompt text is sent to Measurably's server and then to xAI for processing. We do not persist that prompt text as analytics or history. Provider processing is governed by the applicable provider configuration and terms; we do not make a blanket claim here about provider retention.

Local Web Coach and Voice

The public prompt coach's scoring, action-based rewrites, recommendations, and current-prompt follow-up templates run in your browser and are not sent to or saved by Measurably. The Copy action writes the current prompt to your system clipboard, which your operating system or clipboard tools may retain or sync. Local voice is requested only when you press its control and is enabled only when the browser reports that dictation-quality speech recognition can run on device. The browser may offer to download a language pack. Measurably does not silently fall back to cloud speech recognition, retain audio or transcripts, or submit a prompt automatically.

Data Storage & Security

Account and application data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), and the web application is hosted on Vercel. Connections use TLS in transit, and each provider applies its configured at-rest protections. Deployment regions and additional controls are documented per contracted environment rather than assumed to be identical across every service.

Third-Party Services

  • Supabase: Database and authentication
  • Vercel: Application hosting
  • Stripe: Payment processing (we never see your full card details)
  • SendGrid: Transactional emails
  • xAI: Processing for AI features you explicitly invoke

Data Export & Deletion

Pro subscribers can export all their data via the Export page. To request full account deletion, email support@ashlr.ai. After verifying the request, we aim to remove account data from active systems within 30 days. Limited records may remain where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or time-bounded backup retention; we will explain any applicable exception in the deletion response.

Chrome Extension Permissions

The current browser developer preview includes integrations for listed AI-tool domains and any custom HTTPS site you explicitly authorize. It reads submitted prompt text locally to compute the baseline score. An explicit next-prompt action may transiently read the current draft and latest visible assistant response or, when the composer is empty, the latest visible preceding user/assistant pair; that context is not stored, logged, messaged to the background worker, or sent over the network. Account pairing, cloud sync, and remote AI improvement are disabled while secure device pairing is rebuilt. Version 0.8.0 is distributed as a checksummed ZIP loaded unpacked in Chromium browsers; it is not a browser-store release. The preview uses the alarms permission for local background maintenance and storage for derived local measurements.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
